I am much saddened. I suspect that a good many bloggers will have both admired and have been immensely influenced by the enduringly ordinary beacon of taste that was John Peel. Teenage Kicks will doubtless echo from Victrolas across the land. I remember often during my own teenage years listening regularly to his show revelling in the new sounds he would play, weird, wonderful and just a wee bit bizarre at times.
