So what is timesnewroman? It's not the font, rather my take on the age we live in. The USA is the new Rome and the times we live in are timesnewroman.

Thursday, October 14, 2004![]() Boys from the blackstuff ![]() The Blackstuff being the small series of coal bings, behind the wall in the picture. The most magical place to play as a kid. Safe (relatively) where you could play hide and seek, hares and hunts, sojers, slides down the bing in breadboards courtesy of Wonderloaf, and on and on. The boys from left to right Me, Davie Ellis still floating around town, Bobby and John Donaldson who emigrated to Canada around 1968, Tom Nicholson who I believe went to Australia to work and Derek Boles who is a Motor Mechanic following a life long fascination of the automobile in all its formats. His mother, who still works in my local newsagent once sent him aged 6, to the shops for a loaf only for him to return with a Matchbox car. The car in the picture, was a Ford Popular, the first car in our street and belonged to Tommy Ellis. How time flies. Nostalgia 2. The unfortunately named Prof. Barwise has just completed a study of the BBC digital offerings and has concluded that BBC3 and BBC4 are not up to scratch. Bemoaning the lack of viewing figures for BBC4 (One of my favourite channels) because people don't want to watch concerts on telly. I have watched a good number of its archived concerts and thoroughly enjoyed them along with its excellent documentaries. We have enough Britney videos and Reality Television dominating our screens, we don't want or need more. Fuck off back to the bar Fuckwit! posted by timesnewroman at 6:01 AM
