So what is timesnewroman? It's not the font, rather my take on the age we live in. The USA is the new Rome and the times we live in are timesnewroman.

That's 2 weeks in a row that we haven't won anything in the Kings' Quiz. We must be becoming incredibly thick, or maybe we just read the wrong papers and watch the wrong television. I mean who the fuck is Little Mo?

Strangely though there was a bloke at the bar that I recognised, just couldn't place him in context. He was looking at me as well and eventually came over and said that he recognised me too. Turns out he was Alex W, who had been in our Woodies' Pioneer group, like 20+ years ago. Mygawsh, I definitely must be getting old. Then an hour or so later, a woman came up to us and did the same bloody thing, it was more like do you remember me? and of course relatively pished by then, I could sort of place the face, but needed help to remember that she was the young woman, wee lassie actually, who used to help in our Elfin group in the early eighties, there was something about a party at Reidski's ( way back in his northern days) which I won't go into, but she went off to London to live for a while and eventually came back. Turned out she also knew thewife from a time back as well.

We also spotted KW who was in all of our groups and sort of helped for a while, but he's turned into a bit of an arse, so none of us made any attempt to engage in meaningful conversation.

The weather forecast for the holiday weekend were so wrong. Its been really beautiful and the wife has a notion of gardening stuff. I'll leave her to it and feign backache.
